So as I mentioned in one of my first posts, I really enjoying some other women's blogs (located on the left of my blog!) And most of them have to do with food. I love finding a new really yummy really nourishing recipe.
Now for those of you who don't really know me...i can be a food nut! When my daughter turned 6 months old I went on a mission to find the HEALTHIEST foods possible. And I ended up finding out about Weston A. Price. Long story short, he was a dentist who traveled the world for 10 years studying different cultures and their diet and the affect it had on their teeth. The trend was the more of the "white man's food" that was in their diet the worse their teeth were and the less healthy they were. The cultures eating the most natural, least processed foods had perfect teeth and near perfect health. If you want to know more you can go to www.westonaprice.org. I highly recommend it. So anyway, the foods we don't have in our house are sugar, margerine, anything processed that comes in a box, soda, pasturized milk and so forth.
What we eat a TON of is raw milk, grass fed eggs and meat, butter, coconut oil, cheese, spelt flour, and the newest food I've just tried is coconut flour.

Blueberry Honey Muffins
Makes 6 muffins
3 eggs (pastured if possible)
2 tablespoons butter, melted (raw, grass-fed if possible)
2 tablespoons coconut milk or whole milk (I used whole raw grass-fed milk)
3 tablespoons honey (raw honey if possible)
8 ounces organic fresh or frozen blueberries (please do not use conventional blueberries — it’s important that they are organic) *
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon vanilla (organic, additive-free)
1/4 cup coconut flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder **
1. Blend together eggs, butter, coconut milk, honey, salt, and vanilla.
2. Combine coconut flour with baking powder and thoroughly mix into batter until there are no lumps.
3. Drain blueberries and dry with paper towels. Add to batter with a spoon.
4. Pour batter into muffin cups. Bake at 400 degrees F (205 C) for 15 minutes.
* If you can’t find organic blueberries, I would use banana or some other fruit instead. It is important to buy organic berries.
